ersey Bowmen has four men's
teams and two ladies' teams.
The mens’ teams continued to play at a high standard in the Liverpool league.
The mens’ 1st team finished 3rd in division B, but weren’t promoted after a slow start;
the mens’ 2nd team avoided relegation in the same division
the mens’ 3rd team under Clare and Tony Horton were promoted as league winners.
2008 proved to be a successful year too for both ladies’ teams;
the 1st team stayed in the first division, and the second team were promoted at the third time of asking to the 4th division.
The mixed doubles first team also did well in cup competitions this year, with good results in both the Brockbank, and reaching the semi-finals of the Fairlawn Cup. We Want You So a busy season looms... Our two ladies' teams and four mens' teams started their league action in the last week in April.
